Arab Finance: Ahli United Bank Egypt recorded standalone net profits of EGP 2.184 billion in the first half (H1) of 2023, jumping by 143% from EGP 898.214 million in the same period a year earlier, according to an emailed press release on August 6th.
Net interest income climbed by 77.7% during H1 2023, recording EGP 2.248 billion, compared to EGP 1.265 billion during the first six months of 2022.
The bank’s total assets increased by 25.5% to EGP 107.315 billion at the end of June 2023, versus EGP 85.492 billion at the end of December 2022.
Moreover, the bank’s net loans and credit facilities for customers and banks increased by 18.2% to EGP 57.164 billion at the end of June 2023, compared to EGP 48.368 billion at the end of December 2022.
Meanwhile, the customers' deposits portfolio grew by 20.8% to EGP 84.335 billion at the end of June 2023, versus EGP 69.798 billion at the end of December 2022.
