Arab Finance: The UAE’s largest fuel and convenience retailer Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) has opened three service stations in Greater Cairo, according to a press release.
This marks the first investment of ADNOC Distribution’s fueling services in the Egyptian market.
The company also plans to open additional six service stations nationwide by the end of 2023
The Emirati group is working on boosting its presence in Egypt as an investment partner through implementing an ambitious plan in the state’s oil and gas sector.
The three recently opened ADNOC service stations are located in Obour City, Degla Maadi, and the Suez Ring Road.
The stations provide a comprehensive range of auto services, including tire and oil changes, and car washes, along with maintenance work at its Degla Maadi and Obour City stations.
ADNOC Distribution’s CEO Bader Al Lamki told Asharq Business that more than 10 gas stations would be operational in Egypt before the end of this year.
On February 15th, ADNOC Distribution finalized the acquisition of a 50% stake in TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt from TotalEnergies Marketing Afrique SAS.
