Direct flights between Cairo, Tokyo resume after 3-year hiatus

Arab Finance: EgyptAir has resumed its direct flights from Cairo to Tokyo after three years of suspension since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The flights are scheduled to operate on Thursdays on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a seating capacity of 309 passengers, while return flights from Tokyo to Cairo are set to operate on Fridays, the statement read.

The Egyptian airline is planning to operate two flights a week from Cairo to Tokyo on Thursdays and Saturdays with return flights on Fridays and Sundays starting November.
