Egypt, ADNOC mull cooperation in oil refining sector

Arab Finance: Egypt is probing potential cooperation opportunities with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in the field of oil refining as well as carbon capture, use, and storage (CCUS), according to a statement on October 3rd.

This came during the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla’s visit to the UAE on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2023 Exhibition and Conference.

In related news, El Molla held a meeting with the CEO of the Italian energy firm Eni, Claudio Descalzi, to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation.

For his part, Descalzi voiced his company’s intentions to inject new investments in Egypt.

Moreover, the minister discussed with CEOs of the UK-based oil and natural gas company bp and German oil and gas producer Wintershall Dea AG the firms’ expansion plans in Egypt in the field oil exploration.
