Arab Finance: The Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) economy activity is expected to slow down to 2% in 2023 from 5.6% in 2022 amid the Gaza-Israel war, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The IMF warned that the region’s economies are at risk of being reshaped due to the ongoing conflict.

“This crisis could inaugurate an era of high uncertainty for many countries if not properly addressed,” as per the IMF.

Egypt, along with Jordan and Lebanon, is among the most exposed countries to the conflict, as they already experience economic challenges, the IMF noted.
