Bonyan OGM approves EGP 37.5M capital increase

Arab Finance: The ordinary general assembly (OGM) of Bonyan for Development and Trade has approved an increase of about EGP 37.5 million in its issued and paid-up capital, as per a disclosure.

Hence, the company’s capital will rise from EGP 1.875 billion to EGP 1.912 billion.

The increase will involve issuing nearly 37.5 million shares at a par value of EGP 1 each. The new shares represent 2% of the company’s issued capital before the increase and 20% of the shares allocated to beneficiaries of the employee incentive and reward scheme.

Shareholders also approved amendments to Articles 6 and 7 of the company’s articles of association to reflect the capital increase.

Earlier this month, Bonyan's board members approved a treasury share buyback program for up to 4% of the company’s issued capital.

In the first half (H1) of 2026, Bonyan posted a 1.65% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit after tax, recording EGP 1.042 billion at the end of June 2026, compared to EGP 1.025 billion in H1 2025.
