Arab Finance: The Egyptian Cabinet approved extended closing hours for public shops, malls, and restaurants from April 10th to 13th during the Coptic holidays, according to a statement.
The decision, based on recommendations from the Central Crisis Management Committee, allows operations until 11;00 PM instead of 9;00 PM.
The government introduced the earlier restrictions within the framework of its rationalization plan, which aimed to reduce fuel consumption and enhance renewable energy efficiency.
In this regard, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced a remote work system for one day a week for employees in both the public and private sectors.
