CBE announces 5-day bank holiday for Eid El-Fitr

Arab Finance: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to halt business in all operating banks across the state for five days, as of Thursday, March 19^th, in celebration of Eid El-Fitr, according to an official statement.

Therefore, banks will resume operations on Tuesday, March 24^th.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently declared a five-year holiday for public sector employees.

Employees in the private sector were also granted the same holiday.
