Edita’s EGM approves EGP 138.9M issued capital increase

Arab Finance: Edita Food Industries held its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) and approved increasing the company's authorized and issued capital, as per a disclosure.

The EGM agreed to raise the company’s authorized capital to EGP 1 billion from EGP 360 million.

It also approved increasing the issued and paid-up capital by EGP 138.902 million to EGP 418.907 million from EGP 280.005 million.

The increase will be carried out by the issuance of nearly 694.510 million bonus shares with a par value of EGP 0.20 per share, financed from the equity share of the 2025 dividends.

Moreover, the EGM endorsed the amendment of Articles 6 and 7 of Edita’s articles of association.

In July, the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved Edita to hold its EGM to discuss its board's proposal to increase the company's authorized and issued capital.

In the first half (H1) of 2026, Edita recorded a 62.6% increase in consolidated net profits attributable to the parent company, reaching EGP 1.669 billion, up from EGP 1.026 billion in H1 2025.

During the same six months, the company’s revenues rose year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 12.250 billion from EGP 9.247 billion.
