EGX approves temporary listing of Alamal Alsharif for Plastics

Arab Finance: The Listing Committee of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) approved the temporary listing of Alamal Alsharif for Plastics, with an issued capital of EGP 796.336 million distributed across 7.963 million shares at a par value of EGP 100 per share.

The company's shares will be temporarily listed on EGX's Main Market under the Building Materials sector, effective Wednesday, November 4, under the ticker (APPF).

Alamal Alsharif is required to fulfill all listing conditions, complete its registration procedures with the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), and apply to the EGX to offer its shares within six months of the temporary listing date.

If the company fails to meet the requirements for final listing within the set period, the temporary listing will be considered void. However, the FRA may extend the deadline based on justifications and a proposed timeline submitted by the company.

Under the listing requirements, shareholders holding at least 10% of the company's capital must lock in 51% of their holdings. If the shares subject to the lock-in requirement represent less than 25% of the company's issued capital, additional shares held by board members, founders, or other shareholders must be locked in to meet the minimum threshold.

The EGX further stipulated that Alamal Alsharif for Plastics must submit all outstanding required documentation before trading in its shares begins.
