EGX approves Korra Energi's EGP 405M capital increase rights

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Listing Committee has approved the listing of 2.025 billion subscription rights for Korra Energi’s EGP 405 million issued capital increase, which will raise its capital from EGP 450 million to EGP 855 million, as per a disclosure.

The Egypt-based energy and investment company will issue 2.025 billion shares at a nominal value of EGP 0.20 each, plus issuance expenses of EGP 0.005 per share. The increase will be funded through a cash subscription by existing shareholders, with the rights tradable separately from the underlying shares among Egyptians only.

Shareholders and investors purchasing the stock through the close of trading on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, will be entitled to subscribe to 0.90 new shares for each existing share held before the increase.

The rights will be added to the EGX database at the start of the session on Wednesday, October 14, when the underlying shares begin trading without the subscription entitlement. Trading in the rights will initially remain suspended.

Subscription opens on Sunday, October 18, with rights trading scheduled to begin at the start of that day’s session, provided the stock’s market price exceeds the subscription price. Otherwise, trading will begin once that condition is met.

Trading in the rights will end at the close of the session on Tuesday, October 27, three working days before the subscription closes.

The listing is conditional on the company fulfilling all legal requirements, including those relating to the shareholder subscription invitation approved by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) on October 4, 2026. Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR) approved the registration of the rights in the central depository system on October 7.
