Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has attracted 550,000 new investors since the beginning of 2026, compared with around 299,000 new investors during all of 2025, Chairman Omar Radwan said during the “Money Made Simple” conference.
The EGX has experienced notable growth in its investor base, with one new investor entering the market every 45 seconds in 2026, Radwan added, pointing out that it succeeded in registering 300,000 new investors last year.
He also noted that the exchange added one million new investors over the past two years.
As for the MNT-Halan listing on EGX, Radwan expected the company to be offered on the EGX within two weeks, followed by Misr Life Insurance and Banque du Caire throughout 2026.
In September, the EGX signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) to strengthen cooperation and support the development of the financial services sector.
Radwan previously revealed that the average daily trading value on the EGX has increased to approximately $200 million.
