Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Tuesday, September 15, as the EGX30 index went up 0.21% to 54,909.17 points.
The Shariah index added 1% to 6,651.18 points, while the EGX35-LV dropped by 0.21% to 6,754.48 points.
The EGX70 index and EGX100 index closed the session higher by 0.43% to 20,713.95 points and 0.42% to 27,180.84 points, respectively.
EGX’s turnover hit EGP 10.532 billion through the trading of 3.258 billion shares over 262,106 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap totaled EGP 4.304 trillion.
Individuals controlled 78.76% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 21.23%.
Egyptians took over 89.22% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors equaled 7.67% and 3.1%, respectively.
Egyptian and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 260.703 million and EGP 34.450 million, respectively. Foreign investors were sellers with EGP 295.154 million.
