EGX ends Monday’s trading session in red zone

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Monday’s trading session lower, as the EGX30 declined by 0.66% to 53,553.41 points.

Likewise, the Shariah index went down by 0.42% to 6,608.43 points, while the EGX35-LV retreated by 0.73% to 6,549.71 points.

Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index ended the session lower by 0.89% at 19,776.31 points and by 0.89% to 26,132.88 points, respectively.

The turnover hit EGP 9.458 billion through the trading of 2.623 billion shares over 241,760 transactions, whereas the market cap totaled EGP 4.239 trillion.

Individuals represented 74.94% of trading transactions, while institutions made up 25.05%.

Egyptians dominated 85.97% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 10.65% and 3.38%, respectively.

Foreign and Arab traders were sellers with EGP 521.422 million and EGP 60.296 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 581.718 million.
