EGX ends Monday's trading session on varied note

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Monday, September 7.  

The EGX30 index went down by 0.09% to 56,627.83 points, while the Shariah index rose by 0.58% to 6,761.92 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX35-LV declined by 0.07% to 7,108.86 points.

Both the EGX70 index and EGX100 index closed the session higher by 0.23% to 21,668.71 points and 0.28% to 28,292.64 points, respectively.

The EGX’s turnover reached EGP 19.341 billion after the exchange of 3.855 billion shares through 318,400 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap hit EGP 4.450 trillion.

Retail investors took over 57.09% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 42.9%.

Egyptians dominated 80.81% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors equaled 15.14% and 4.05%, respectively.

Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 5.015 billion. Egyptian and foreign investors were sellers with EGP 4.669 billion and EGP 345.722 million, respectively.
