Egypt's annual core inflation records 14.7% in July: CBE

Arab Finance: The annual core consumer price index (CPI) inflation recorded 14.7% in July 2026 compared to 14.3% in June 2025, according to the Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) data.

Monthly core CPI inflation registered 0% in July, compared with -0.3% in July 2025 and 0.3% in June 2026. 

The annual urban headline CPI inflation climbed to 14.9% in July, compared with 14.3% in June 2026.

The CBE also said that, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the monthly urban headline CPI inflation hit 0%t last July, compared with -0.5% in July 2025 and -0.4% in June 2026.

The CAPMAS data showed that Egypt's annual headline inflation rate rose to 13% in July 2026 from 12.2% last June.
