Egypt establishes nearly 26,000 companies in H1 2026

Arab Finance: Egypt established nearly 26,000 companies with total issued capital of approximately EGP 97.5 billion during the first half of 2026, according to data from the Cabinet’s Media Center.

The number of companies established between January and June rose by around 20% compared with the same period in 2025.

The figures point to increased investment activity and a broader base of newly established companies, supporting production expansion, job creation, and the private sector’s role in the Egyptian economy.

The growth comes amid state efforts to improve the business environment, streamline company establishment procedures, and develop investment services. These measures aim to increase the Egyptian market’s attractiveness to investors and support the expansion of economic activity nationwide.
