Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid participated in the Bloomberg NBEF Academy in South Africa and met with senior executives from South African companies to discuss investment and expansion opportunities in Egypt, as per a statement.

Farid toured MCV’s Cape Town factory and reviewed its production operations and expansion plans. Talks also addressed increasing the Egyptian component in locally produced buses and strengthening links with Egyptian supply chains to support exports of automotive components to African markets.

Moreover, Farid met with officials from SanlamAllianz and PSG Group to discuss existing investments and expansion opportunities in Egypt.

He encouraged SanlamAllianz to expand its investments in asset management and specialized investment funds targeting productive and industrial projects.

Meanwhile, PSG Group outlined plans to relocate part of its operations from the Netherlands to Egypt and use the country as a production and distribution hub for African markets, particularly in agriculture, grains, fruits and vegetables, and fertilizers.

The Bloomberg NBEF Academy gathered policymakers, business leaders, and international experts to discuss Africa’s economic transformation, investment climate, energy, and global industrial markets.
