Arab Finance: Egyptian fintech company Fawry has partnered with e-commerce platform Talabat to provide health insurance coverage for more than 800 delivery drivers through Fawry’s “Your Health, Fawry” product, as per an emailed press release.
The announcement was made during Talabat’s “Heroes” ceremony, which was held to recognize the role of delivery drivers.
Under the partnership, selected drivers will receive digital health insurance coverage aimed at supporting their access to healthcare services.
The initiative reflects efforts by both companies to offer practical support to workers in the delivery sector.
“Your Health, Fawry” is offered through Fawry Insurance Brokerage in collaboration with GIG Egypt.
The product was launched after Fawry distributed more than 700,000 digital insurance policies through its brokerage arm.
Coverage options are accessible through the MyFawry app and the MyFawry yellow prepaid card, allowing users to manage insurance and healthcare services digitally.
The insurance package includes medical coverage as well as protection in the event of accidents.
Fawry said the product is designed to address the needs of individuals working in platform-based delivery roles.
The partnership reflects a shared focus by Fawry and Talabat on supporting delivery drivers through health-related benefits, as Egypt’s delivery sector continues to expand.
It also aligns with Fawry’s broader offering of financial services in Egypt, which includes digital payments, pay-as-you-go services, savings products, and insurance solutions for individuals and businesses.
