FRA suspends trading on El Ahram for Printing until September 24

Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has halted trading on El Ahram for Printing and Packing's shares for 15 days, starting Thursday, September 10, until September 24, according to a bourse statement.

The FRA cited concerns over the company’s ability to continue operating, with accumulated losses reaching around EGP 156.9 million.

The move also followed the company’s non-compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards No. 1 and No. 28 regarding the recognition of interest on its outstanding credit balance with Qatar National Bank (QNB), which has remained unpaid for more than one fiscal year amid ongoing legal disputes.

Additionally, the FRA noted that the company opened a bank account in the name of shareholder and Vice Chairman Naseem Mohi El-Din to facilitate transactions with clients and suppliers after its bank accounts were frozen and seized.

In this regard, El Ahram for Printing is required to submit to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) a detailed plan addressing its operations, financing needs, asset-related procedures, and ability to continue its activities, along with an assessment of its legal position and ongoing disputes.

During the first half (H1) of 2026, net losses of El Ahram for Printing fell by 98.37% to EGP 1.505 million from EGP 92.526 million in H1 2025.
