Madbouly inaugurates BeiXin Taishan Egypt’s $10M building materials factory in Sokhna

Arab Finance: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated BeiXin Taishan Egypt Building Materials Technology’s $10 million factory in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), as per a statement.

The facility produces high-quality, environmentally friendly paper-faced gypsum boards and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) decorative ceiling tiles.

The factory spans 20,000 square meters, has an annual production capacity of 20 million square meters, and provides around 50 jobs, according to the company Chairman.

Madbouly said Egypt continues to implement an integrated strategy to attract industrial investments that use modern technology, supporting the transfer and localization of industrial expertise and production technologies in the domestic market.

He added that the building materials sector offers considerable opportunities for growth and expansion. Egypt’s strategic location and trade agreements provide access to regional and international markets, supporting the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing and the industrial sector’s contribution to the economy.

During his visit, Madbouly reviewed the factory’s production process, from receiving raw materials and completing the mixing and additives stages to transferring products into kilns and recycling manufacturing waste. He also inspected samples of the finished products.

SCZONE Chairman Moustafa Shaikhon said the project reflects the authority’s efforts to attract international industrial investments in targeted sectors, supported by the zone’s infrastructure, strategic location, and investment environment.

He added that the facility expands the building materials industry within SCZONE and supports the localization of industries that use advanced production technologies. The project is also expected to improve supply-chain efficiency and help products manufactured in the zone reach regional and international markets.
