Arab Finance: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated China-based manufacturer Lijialong Brush Co., Ltd’s $10 million factory in the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, which operates under the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), as per a statement.
The facility manufactures brushes, sealing strips, and components and accessories for doors and windows. Spanning approximately 36,500 square meters, it houses advanced production lines with an annual capacity of up to 100 million meters.
The factory provides around 70 jobs, focusing on training Egyptian workers and transferring technical expertise to support sustainable operations.
The prime minister said Egypt is encouraging knowledge-based industries that rely on advanced technical expertise as part of its efforts to develop the domestic industrial sector.
He added that the government aims to attract international companies with specialized manufacturing capabilities to facilitate technology transfer, develop qualified Egyptian talent, and improve the competitiveness of locally made products. These efforts form part of the state’s plans to turn Egypt into a regional manufacturing and export hub.
