Arab Finance: Fintech platform MNT-Halan has completed three securitization issuances worth a combined EGP 4.0085 billion for its subsidiaries Halan Consumer Finance and Tasaheel for Finance, as per an emailed press release.
Tasaheel accounted for two of the issuances, valued at EGP 1.2bn and EGP 2.28 billion. The third, worth EGP 528.5 million, was issued for Halan Consumer Finance. MNT-Halan said the transactions will diversify its funding sources and support the expansion of its financing activities in Egypt.
Each issuance consists of a single tranche with a 13-month tenor. Middle East Rating & Investors Service (MERIS) assigned the issuances an A- credit rating.
CI Capital and Al Ahly Pharos served as investment banking advisors on all three transactions. Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (MBH) acted as legal advisor, Baker Tilly as auditor, and Capital for Securitization as the securitization company.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) Listing Committee has approved the temporary listing of 1.6 billion shares in MNT-Halan, representing an issued capital of EGP 160 million.
The shares, divided across two issuances, carry a par value of EGP 0.10 each and will be added to the EGX database under the non-banking financial services sector on September 15, 2026. The company will be traded on under the ticker (HALN.CA) once trading begins.
In June, Bloomberg reported that MNT-Halan is planning an initial public offering (IPO) on the EGX.
The IPO is expected to value MNT-Halan at between $900 million and $1 billion, the sources revealed.
