Arab Finance: The Nasr City Public Free Zone has attracted 22 projects with total investments of $192.7 million since the beginning of fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026 through September 15, according to a statement.

The projects comprise 14 established within the public free zone and eight operating under the private free zone system, and have created around 19,000 jobs. This was announced during a meeting of the zone’s Board of Directors, chaired by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) CEO Mohamed Awad.

During the meeting, the board approved three new projects, including the Egyptian-French venture Radxim Dental Lab with €100,000 in investments. Located in the Nasr City Public Free Zone, the company will manufacture fixed and removable dental prosthetics using 3D printing technology and plans to export 100% of its output.

Sky Nova, a joint Egyptian-Chinese project with $12 million in investments under the private free zone system, will operate in leather tanning, manufacturing, and trading. The project is expected to provide 1,000 job opportunities and produce leather footwear for both local and export markets.

Meanwhile, Bony Tekstil, a Turkish project with $82 million in investments, is expected to produce 150 million pairs of socks annually and secure around 2,500 jobs under the private free zone system.

For his part, Awad said the newly approved projects support the government’s development priorities, particularly technology localization, job creation, and export growth.

He added that the zone has increased the value added of local production inputs and supported the development of export-oriented products capable of competing in international markets.
