Arab Finance: Digital payments platform Sahl has teamed up with fintech company Klivvr to allow Klivvr customers to pay their installments through the Sahl mobile application, as per an emailed press release.
The integration gives customers an additional digital channel for managing recurring payments securely through the app at any time and from any location. It combines Klivvr’s financing services with Sahl’s payment infrastructure, expanding the payment options available to users.
The collaboration also supports the adoption of digital payments and broader efforts to advance financial inclusion and reduce reliance on cash in Egypt.
Launched in December 2019, Sahl provides access to more than 200 payment services through one application. Users can pay for electricity, natural gas, water, telecommunications, internet services, and other everyday expenses.
The company also uses near field communication (NFC) technology to let customers recharge prepaid utility meters and smart cards from home in less than one minute. Its business-to-business (B2B) portfolio includes digital payment acceptance and collection services designed to help companies manage their payment operations.
Founded in Egypt in 2021, Klivvr provides digital payment and lending services through its mobile application and smart payment card. The platform allows customers to monitor their spending, manage their budgets, and use a range of financial services.
Klivvr received approval from the Central Bank of Egypt in 2023. Two years later, the company expanded its consumer finance business by introducing a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service offering financing of up to EGP 500,000 and repayment terms of up to 60 months.
The company also provides one-time financing of up to EGP 15 million for high-value purchases through a network of more than 1,000 merchants and business partners across Egypt.
In 2026, Klivvr added K.ai, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered financial assistant that provides personalized spending insights and financial guidance. It also introduced the K.Points rewards program and K.Shop, an in-app marketplace. Klivvr’s customer base has since surpassed 700,000 users.
