Arab Finance: The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (SwissCham Egypt) and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (CCIG) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost institutional and commercial ties, facilitate the exchange of information and expertise, and strengthen cooperation between the Egyptian and Swiss business communities, as per a press release.
The chambers will organize and promote business delegations, trade missions, and institutional visits, helping companies establish direct contacts and explore opportunities in both markets.
Information sharing will underpin the collaboration, covering statistical data, market insights, and specialized reports to help businesses assess investment prospects. Members, partners, and other stakeholders will also be able to connect to develop joint initiatives.
The agreement extends to technical knowledge exchange, training, and skills development, alongside sharing industry best practices to strengthen the competitiveness of the chambers’ members and networks.
Ahmed Hammad, Board Member of SwissCham Egypt, and Vincent Subilia, Director General of CCIG, signed the MoU. Omar Radwan, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), and Thomas Baumgartner, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt, witnessed the signing.
The ceremony brought together SwissCham Egypt Board Members and representatives of partner organizations, including strategic partners Switzerland Global Enterprise and the Egyptian-Swiss Business Circle (ESBC).

More than 500 Swiss companies operate in Egypt, providing over 25,000 direct jobs, which supports economic growth and industrial development.
