Arab Finance: U Consumer Finance (Valu) has partnered with Alshaya Group to expand access to flexible payment solutions across participating Alshaya retail brands in Egypt, according to a press release.

The collaboration will enable customers to shop at participating brands and use Valu’s interest-free payment plans, both online and in stores.

Participating brands will include H&M, Bath&Body Works, American Eagle, and Victoria’s Secret.

The collaboration integrates Valu’s fintech capabilities and merchant network with Alshaya Group’s retail presence in Egypt, enabling customers to spread payments across eligible purchases while shopping through online and physical channels.

Habiba Naguib, Chief Market Expansion and Strategy Officer of Valu, said: “This collaboration represents an important step in expanding Valu’s presence across high-impact retail touchpoints and strengthening our merchant ecosystem.”

Francois Orhan, Vice President, Loyalty, Payments & Data at Alshaya Group, said: “By combining our portfolio of leading international brands with Valu’s innovative payment solutions, we are creating a more seamless omnichannel experience and giving customers greater choice in how they manage their purchases.”

This partnership comes as demand for flexible and digitally enabled payment options continues to grow, supporting the wider adoption of alternative payment solutions in Egypt’s retail sector.

Valu recently closed its 23rd securitized bond issuance, valued at EGP 945.8 million, with EFG Hermes.
