Arab Finance: Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries Company (ABUK) has suspended operations at its three factories due to a cut in natural gas supplies, according to a disclosure.

The company attributed the suspension to the ongoing heatwave, which has significantly exceeded normal temperature levels for this time of year.

This extreme weather has led to an unprecedented surge in energy consumption, along with halting some regional gas supply sources, which negatively impacted the gas network’s reserves.

To prevent damage to the company's facilities under these conditions, natural gas supplies have been halted until the network's operational conditions improve.
