Egypt’s electricity consumption hits all-time high on June 23rd

Arab Finance: Egypt’s electricity consumption hit a record high of 36,000 megawatts (MW) on June 23rd, a government official told Asharq Business.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has increased natural gas supplies to power plants by 19% to 110 million cubic meters, in addition to 25,000 tons of mazut.

On May 28th, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly assigned Ministers of Electricity and Petroleum to study the possibility of ending the electricity load reduction plan by November or December at the latest.
