Egypt to launch eSIM service within 2 months

Arab Finance: Egypt is expected to begin operating the eSIM service within two months, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat told Asharq Business.

On the sidelines of a press conference at the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) in Cairo, Talaat added that the government is ready and too close to launch the eSIM service before the last quarter of the year.

The eSIM technology allows users to switch between operators on their phones without needing a new SIM card.
