Arab Finance: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has confirmed that Egypt remains unaffected by the recent global technical failure in the cybersecurity system operated by CrowdStrike on cloud computing platforms, as per a statement.

CrowdStrike acknowledged that the issue stemmed from an update to its antivirus software aimed at safeguarding Microsoft Windows devices against malicious attacks.

The Egyptian ministry added that the incident did not impact critical infrastructure within Egypt.

All essential services including Egyptian airports, ports, banking services across government banks, mobile banking, government service platforms, and communication networks are reported to be functioning normally.
