FDC Summit and CDIS unite for joint event in May

Arab Finance: The organizing Committee of FDC Summit in its sixth edition and the CDIS in its second edition will launch a joint event, dubbed "Egypt International Summit for Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity", from May 19th to May 21st, according to an emailed press release.

The event will take place at Egypt International Exhibitions Centre in Mosher Tantawi axis, Hall 3.

It will be organized under the auspices of the Egyptian Cabinet, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Egypt, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), the Public Authority for Financial Control, and the Supreme Council for Cyber Security, the event seeks to integrate efforts in the field of cybersecurity and digital transformation.

The event will be also held under the auspices of the National Communications Regulatory Authority, Federation of Egyptian Banks, the General Authority for Export and Import Control, the National Computer and Network Emergency Preparedness Centre, and the Financial Sector Emergency Response Centre.

This is in addition to the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and a high-level delegation of competent leaders and officers in the field of cyber security from the Ministry of Defense of Egypt and relevant institutions and agencies.

The event aims to consolidate Egypt’s regional position in the industry of the cybersecurity by highlighting the efforts of the Egyptian government, the private sector, and all parties in raising awareness.
