Egypt, UAE discuss ways to strengthen economic relations

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat met with the Emirati Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri to explore ways to strengthen economic ties, as per a statement.

The meeting focused on strategies to stimulate private sector engagement and enhance productivity.

The discussions aimed to deepen cooperation between the two countries in formulating and implementing economic programs that adapt to global changes and improve development performance in light of global economic shifts.

Key topics included enhancing the effectiveness of the planning system, increasing economic competitiveness, and leveraging best practices to boost economic development and job creation.

Both sides also explored methods to maximize the impact of government investments and improve evidence-based policy processes.

Al-Mashat highlighted the ministry's efforts to optimize investment spending and enhance government investment efficiency, which supports development goals and encourages private sector investment.

For his part, Al Marri reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to supporting joint initiatives.

He underscored the UAE Ministry of Economy’s readiness to cooperate and strengthen bilateral relations to advance development efforts and mutual goals.
