Electricity Minister calls for accelerating efforts to split EETC from EEHC

Arab Finance: Minister of Electricity Mahmoud Esmat called for the expedition of the executive steps in the separation procedures between the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), as per a ministry statement.

Esmat stated that a variety of scenarios were examined in order to finalize the separation process, and the most favorable one was to separate the EETC as a network operator.

This allows the private sector to invest in the electricity and energy sectors while maintaining the stability and efficiency of the unified electricity grid.
