Arab Finance: Egypt’s TreeGas for Trading and Gas Services signed a purchase and supply agreement with Oman’s Muscat Gas Company to distribute fiberglass liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders across Jordan and the Gulf region, as per a statement.

The deal is facilitated by Ebdaa Company for Project Development.

Also, TreeGas signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Czech company HPC to localize the technology for manufacturing fiberglass LPG cylinders.

The project, based in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, will be rolled out in two phases.

The first phase, with an investment of €7 million, will establish a factory producing 500,000 cylinders annually and create 650 jobs.

The second phase will add a filling station and production line for valves and gas pressure regulators, with an additional €3 million investment.

The Suez Canal Economic Zone's (SCZone) Head Waleid Gamal El-Dein emphasized the zone’s ongoing efforts to localize industries, particularly those reliant on imported goods, to boost exports and meet local demand.

TreeGas, the first company in Egypt and the Middle East to specialize in fiberglass LPG cylinders, operates within the Sokhna Industrial Zone, covering over 10,400 square meters.

The company is committed to providing safer and more cost-effective alternatives to traditional steel cylinders, aligning with Egypt’s broader goals of industrial innovation and export expansion.
