Arab Finance: The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed new funding worth EGP 25 million with Aman Company to support handicraft and heritage projects through the Harfa Project for Microfinance, as per a statement.
MSMEDA's CEO Basil Rahmi emphasized that this funding aligns with Egypt’s broader goals of enhancing local craftsmanship and reducing unemployment by promoting self-employment.
The financing will target micro-enterprises possessing documentation of tax cards and commercial registration to establish new businesses or expand existing ones.
The initiative will support around 250 beneficiaries, particularly in production clusters across Egypt, including border regions and other underserved areas, helping them transition from the informal to the formal sector.
