Arab Finance: The Cabinet approved plans to prepare a roadmap to curb methane emissions in Egypt, according to an official statement.

This agreement between the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) aims to reduce methane emissions in the petroleum sector.

Moreover, the Cabinet approved a grant worth JPY 500 million to implement the economic and social development program between Egypt and Japan.

The grant aims to enhance the standard of living of farmers, especially the low-income, and expand the scope of agricultural mechanization technology at reduced prices.

This aligns with the government’s strategy to boost agricultural production and increase the area of cultivated land.

Moreover, the Cabinet passed the draft presidential decree regarding the exchanged letters between Japan and Egypt to finance the program aimed at developing the private sector and bolstering economic diversification with JPY 35 billion.
