Cairo House, Marriott to transform Mogamma Al Tahrir into Autograph Collection Hotel

Arab Finance: Cairo House Egypt for Real Estate has signed an agreement with both Tourism Investment and Marriott International to turn the historic Mogamma Al Tahrir into an Autograph Collection Hotel, as per a press release.

The project marks a significant step in the plan to repurpose the iconic building into a world-class hospitality destination, supporting The Sovereign Fund of Egypt’s (TSFE) broader effort to revitalize downtown Cairo.

The redevelopment will be led by an international consortium that includes Global Ventures Group, Oxford Capital Group, Al Otaiba Investments, and Zoser Capital Partners.

The planned Autograph Collection Hotel will feature 500 guestrooms and serviced apartments, offering multiple dining and entertainment options.

Among its highlights are a rooftop swimming pool with views of Tahrir Square, the Nile, and the distant Giza Pyramids.

The property will also include a ballroom, an outdoor pavilion, meeting and event spaces, a fitness center, and a spa.

Located in the heart of Cairo, the hotel will be positioned in a vibrant district surrounded by embassies, government offices, and financial institutions.

The Mogamma project is expected to act as a catalyst for further investment in downtown Cairo, transforming the area into a new business, tourist, and residential hub.

The Autograph Collection portfolio currently includes over 300 hotels worldwide, each offering a distinctive guest experience that reflects the unique vision of its founder.
