Arab finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has participated in a key meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt), according to a statement.
The event, led by AmCham President Tarek Tawfik, brought together leaders from the petroleum sector, including Vice President of the Chamber and Vice President and Country Manager of Apache Corporation Egypt Greg McDaniel, alongside other leaders of international oil companies.
In his speech, Badawi discussed the ministry’s strategy to tackle challenges and advance exploration and production efforts.
He shared initial indicators, showing an increase in oil and gas production between July and October.
During this period, natural gas production rose by 200 million cubic feet per day, while crude oil production grew by 39,000 barrels per day.
Moreover, Badawi highlighted the ministry's continued efforts to accelerate upstream activities by offering incentive policies aimed at attracting more investments.
He also outlined ongoing initiatives to make Egypt’s oil and gas sector more appealing to international and local investors.
