The final session of the COP28 climate summit in Dubai has ended with an agreement, called UAE Consensus, urging the world to transition away from fossil fuels to achieve net zero by 2050.

Egypt will seal project agreements to reduce carbon emissions in the industrial sector with investments of up to $270 million, Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad said.

This assessment will help nations ensure they bridge the gaps and commit to climate action.

Shoukry is scheduled to meet with the Crown Prince of Denmark, and he will also hold series of talks with his Danish counterpart and president of the Nordic Council of Ministers, as well as with representatives of the logistics company Maersk.

Foreign Minister and President of the 27th session of the UN Climate Change Conference Sameh Shoukry joined a virtual ministerial meeting of the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate (MEF).
