Shoukry to co-chair Copenhagen Climate Ministerial Conference
 

Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and COP27 President Sameh Shoukry headed to the Danish capital to co-chair the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial Conference, which takes place on March 20th to 21st, the Egyptian ministry announced in a statement on March 19th.

This conference marks the first high-level political meeting following up on COP27.

The event, hosted by Denmark, will be held under the joint Egyptian-Emirati presidency.

The meeting will tackle climate change adaptation, mitigation, and funding, in addition to handling damages and losses.

Moreover, Shoukry is scheduled to meet with the Crown Prince of Denmark, and he will also hold series of talks with his Danish counterpart and president of the Nordic Council of Ministers, as well as with representatives of the logistics company Maersk.

It is noteworthy that the UAE will chair COP28 this year.
