Arab Finance: The Libyan National Oil Corporation is exploring opportunities for Egyptian petroleum companies to carry out oil projects in Libya over the coming period, according to an official statement.
During his meeting with the Libyan corporation’s Chairman Farhat Bin Qadara, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla said that the Egyptian petroleum sector is ready to execute projects in Libya via its specialized companies.
Moreover, the minister noted that the petroleum sector’s training centers are prepared to train Libyan counterparts, upon the request of the Libyan side for cooperation in this regard.
On his part, Ben Qadara confirmed multiple opportunities for cooperation with Egypt in implementing oil projects in Libya.
He also expressed Libya's interest in exploring opportunities to benefit from Egyptian companies' services in drilling oil and gas wells.
This meeting was held on the first day of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024), taking place in Cairo from February 19th to 21st.
