Egypt allocates EGP 96B for 1,260 projects in Cairo during FY2023/24

Arab Finance: Egypt has allocated a total of EGP 96 billion to implement 1,260 development projects in the governorate of Cairo under the current fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024 investment plan, as per a statement by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

In a report on the FY 2023/2024 investment plan for Cairo, the ministry presented that investments amounting to EGP 29.6 billion will be directed towards the housing sector, accounting for 31% of the total investments.

Following closely is the transportation sector with investments worth EGP 26 billion, constituting 27% of the total investments.

Additionally, the health sector will receive investments totaling EGP 1.9 billion.
