Egypt seeks 900,000 tons of mazut from global markets in August

Arab Finance: Egypt has requested to import 900,000 tons of mazut worth $540 million from global markets in August, a government official told Asharq Business.

This is compared to around 600,000 tons of mazut imported in July, the source noted.

He referred to a slight decrease in diesel consumption over the past week following the recent increase in fuel prices.

On July 25^th, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources decided to raise fuel prices in the local market.
