Egypt seeks 900,000 tons of mazut from global markets in August

Arab Finance: Egypt has requested to import 900,000 tons of mazut worth $540 million from global markets in August, a government official told Asharq Business.

This is compared to around 600,000 tons of mazut imported in July, the source noted.

He referred to a slight decrease in diesel consumption over the past week following the recent increase in fuel prices.

On July 25th, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources decided to raise fuel prices in the local market.
