Arab Finance: Egypt has released a total of 211,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $99 million from the country’s ports over the period from April 19th to 27th, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al-Sayed El-Quseir stated on May 2nd.
The released amount included 163,000 tons of corn worth $59 million, 48,000 tons of soybeans worth $36 million, and feed additives worth $4 million.
This brings the total amount of fodder released from October 16th, 2022 to April 27th, 2023 to 4.2 million tons, including 3.1 million tons of corn, and 1.1 tons of soybeans, and feed additives valued at $2 billion.
The move aims to secure supplies of corn and soybean fodder in the Egyptian market, the minister said.
