Major Egyptian animal feed production firms have decided to sell corn and soybean to traders and distributors in US dollar amid the increasing prices of fodders in the local market.

Egypt has released a total of 121,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $60 million from the country’s ports over the period from October 20th to 26th.

Egypt has released a total of 205,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $100 million from the country’s ports over the period from October 13th to 19th.

Egypt has released a total of 319,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $170 million from the country’s ports over the period from September 22nd to October 12th.

Egypt has released a total of 260,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $133 million from the country’s ports over the period from September 8th to 21st.

Egypt has released a total of 276,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $116 million from the country’s ports over the period from August 25th to September 7th, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al-Sayed El-Quseir stated.

Egypt has released a total of 167,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $75 million from the country’s ports over the period from August 18th to 24th.

This brings the total amount of fodder released from October 16th, 2022, to August 17th, 2023, to 7.2 million tons, including 5.2 million tons of corn and 2 million tons of soybeans and feed additives valued at a total of $3.3 billion.

Egypt has released a total of 378,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder valued at $183 million from the country’s ports over the period from July 20th to August 3rd.

Egypt has released a total of 181,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder valued at $92 million from the country’s ports over the period from July 14th to 19th.

Egypt has released a total of 119,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder valued at $65 million from the country’s ports over the period from July 6th to 13th.

This brings the total amount of fodder released from October 16th, 2022, to July 6th, 2023, to 6.5 million tons, including 4.5 million tons of corn and 2 million tons of soybeans and feed additives valued at a total of $3 billion.

Egypt has released a total of 201,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder valued at $102 million from the country’s ports over the period from June 16th to 22nd.

Egypt has released a total of 160,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $82 million from the country’s ports over the period from June 9th to 15th.

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the release of 205,000 tons of corn and soy fodders worth about $100 million during the period from June 2nd to 8th.

Egypt has released a total of 156,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $78 million from the country’s ports over the period from May 26th to June 1st.

The Ministry of Agriculture announced the release of 254,000 tons of corn and soy fodders worth about $115 million during the period from May 19th to 25th.

Egypt has released a total of 225,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $102 million from the country’s ports during the period starting May 12th to 18th.

This is part of the government's efforts to secure the release of production inputs and fodder from ports in cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Egypt has released 237,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $107 million from the country’s ports during the period from April 28th to May 3rd.
