Egypt releases $102M worth of corn, soybean fodder from ports in week

Arab Finance: Egypt has released a total of 225,000 tons of corn and soybean fodder worth $102 million from the country’s ports during the period starting May 12th to 18th, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Al-Sayed El-Quseir announced on May 22nd.

The released amount included 185,000 tons of corn valued at $66 million, 40,000 tons of soybeans worth $30 million, and $6 million worth of feed additives.

This brings the total amount of fodder released from October 16th, 2022 to May 18th, 2023 to 5 million tons, including 3.7 million tons of corn and 1.3 tons of soybeans and feed additives at a total value of $2.4 billion.
