Trade Minister lays foundation stone of Sumitomo Electric Egypt’s wiring harnesses factory

Arab Finance: Minster of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has laid the foundation stone of the first phase of Sumitomo Electric Egypt’s wiring harnesses manufacturing factory, according to a statement on June 1^st.

The project’s first phase will produce wiring harnesses for 1 million cars per year, in addition to providing 3,500 job opportunities, the minister noted.

The factory, which is considered Sumitomo’s largest wiring harnesses factory in the world, will be established on a 150,000-meter area.
