Arab Finance: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that around 152 industries are required to be localized in Egypt, with the aim of boosting the country’s industrial sector, as per a statement on June 13^th.

Madbouly’s remarks came during a meeting held with the Federation of Egyptian Industries’ (FEI) board members, presidents of chambers of commerce, officials representing factories and companies across several sectors, and other ministers and officials.

The meeting aims to decide upon the targets of the selected industries, Madbouly noted, adding that different incentives will be offered and industries’ requirements will be met on condition that the required targets were achieved.

At the end of the meeting, Madbouly asked manufacturers to submit the requirements presented by them during the meeting to be studied.

He also stressed that the government authorities shall abide by the law which gives preference to domestic products instead of imported ones in order to empower local industries.
