Arab Finance: Egypt is looking forward to cooperating with Mercedes-Benz Egypt in the localization of the electric vehicles (EVs) industry, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir stated on July 29^th.

This came during a meeting with a delegation from the automotive company headed by its CEO Gerd Bitterlich.

The meeting reviewed the company’s current and future projects in the Egyptian market, as well as its export opportunities in regional and international markets.

The minister stressed the importance of benefiting from the free trade agreements signed with a number of international countries and economics blocs, noting that Mercedes-Benz Egypt has a great opportunity to expand its exports to the markets of member states under these agreements.

Furthermore, Bitterlich said that his company is keen to make use of the available investment opportunities in the Egyptian market to strengthen its production capacities to fulfill the local market’s demand and export to foreign markets
